Jewelry chains are the fine metal chains which are used in jewelry to encircle various parts of our body like neck, ankles and wrists. These are used to hang pendants and charms. The jewelry chains are different from the chains used in other purpose as hey are designed for beautification purpose.
Jewelry chains look very nice if they are fine. These chains are mainly made by using gold or silver, which are the precious metals. Some other metals which are used to make jewelry chains are platinum, steel and palladium. These metals are used to make jewelry chains as these are not highly reactive and can retain their shape and their strength. To maintain the shine of these materials they only require minimal caring.
These jewelry chains come in different styles and adore by people. Some of the styles are mentioned here.
1. Trace - it is the simplest style of chain in which the links are typically uniform in thickness and breadth.
2. Belcher - it is almost similar to trace but the links are slightly wider than its thickness. Links are generally round in shape.
3. Curb - in this style the links are interlocked when they laid flat. in curb chains the width varies from a few millimeters to two centimeters.
4. Snake - in this chain the links create slight zigzag look and having the square or round cross section.
5. Rope - the style looks as two strings spiraled together and the links are not joined completely.
6. Fancy - it can be anything which can be put around the neck, which can be joined and replicated to make a chain.
7. Spiga - in this type of chain small eight shaped links form a 3D chain which looks like a square.
8. Singapore - it is also known as twisted curb. In this the links are joined in such a manner that even it it is untwisted there will be remain a natural curve.
